How to brew green tea

Brewing Instructions

  • Boil 240ml of water and pour evenly between two cups.
  • Place 2 teaspoons, or 6 grams into the teapot.
  • Once the water in the cup has cooled to the ideal temperature (see below), pour from the teacups into the teapot and brew for 90 seconds, but adjust this time according to your preffered taste.
  • Pour small, even amounts alternating between each cup until you have emptied the teapot.
  • Shincha and Sencha can be infused twice or even three times, however matcha blended teas will be much weaker after the first infusion.

Different varieties of green tea require slightly different conditions. Use this table as a guide and experiment to find your preferred brewing process!
