Hojicha means roasted green tea in Japanese. Our premium green tea, grown in Australia, is roasted by our expert tea makers here in our Australian Factory. Roasting imparts the Hojicha brew its characteristic nutty caramel flavour, a distinctive aroma and its attractice amber colour. As an added bonus it reduces the caffeine and tannin content to give a smoother taste. Hojicha can be drunk hot, warm, cool or chilled. It is truly a drink for all occassions.
Hojicha is easy to prepare as it is brewed using boiling water unlike sencha which must be brewed used 70C water.
